FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 4, 2012 (WATERLOO, ONTARIO) Neruda Productions
Colombian-born, JUNO nominee and Latin American band leader, Diego Marulanda and his 10 piece band play the Chrysalids on May 12th. On Marulanda’s latest album, Rueda La Bolita (The Ball is Rolling), he sets reggae, hip-hop, and rap beats against a background of Latin American rhythms to create a cosmopolitan sound that is irresistible. His songs evoke the momentum of social life and social change – the ball is indeed rolling!
On May 17th singer-songwriters from Neruda’s Belonging and Empowering (BE) workshop series join special friends on stage at the Jazz Room for BE ‘The World’.
