A Project Worth Dreaming About

A Project Worth Dreaming About

It's Neruda Productions profound honour to be involved with the visit of some inspiring youth from Uganda in May. A number of students, who happen to be musicians and dancers, will be visiting Canada for nearly a month for a cultural experience of a lifetime.

Visiting students will perform in a number of communities around southwestern Ontario.

The school has a local connection:

"GIVE International, the Walper Hotel and Valerie Hill of The Record had no idea what they were starting when they began a project to build a school in rural Uganda during 2011. The links and connections have blossomed and now another Ugandan school is becoming part of our community. The Cambridge Secondary School began as a shelter where young children escaping from poverty, war, AIDS orphanhood and child labour could find refuge and counseling. It is now a high-quality not-for-profit school offering education and life skills to former child soldiers from the northern part of the country and rescues from the child labour trade."

There will be a pre-visit event, Dream for Uganda, April 7th 2013, at the Walper Hotel in Kitchener. The event will feature Live and Silent Auctions, light buffet, cash bar, African crafts market and entertainment – featuring D Eve Archer!
