Singer-songwriter, poet and multi-instrumentalist, Nano Stern’s classical and jazz training combined with his love of traditional and revolutionary music is brilliantly layered with Indigenous, African and European elements. Stern’s musicianship and breadth of sound is influenced most by the Nueva Canción movement of the Pinochet years, and legendary artists like Inti-Illimani and Victor Jara with whom he is frequently compared. His songs are outspoken, passionate and experimental. Stern has toured extensively throughout Europe, North and South American and Australia and released 7 albums.
