Kultrún Market Opens New Chapter for Neruda Arts

Neruda Arts is pleased to announce the opening of its Kultrún Market - home to gifts with a story and a conscience. Located next door to Seven Shores Cafe at 8 Regina St North in Uptown Waterloo, all the fair, direct or horizontal trade items, including clothing, jewelry, arts and handicrafts, coffee and yes, even chocolate, benefit the individual, community or cooperative where they were produced. The Kultrún Market supports Neruda Arts’ mission to dignify the work of artists - whether they are local designers from right here in Waterloo, or artisans and craftspeople from across the globe. The Kultrún Market will also be home to Friday noon-hour patio concerts from May to August, gatherings, lectures, visual arts exhibitions and more! If we don’t see you before, help us celebrate our ‘Quiñceanera’ or 15th Anniversary on May 7th 2-6pm at our Cinco de Mayo Festival with free live music by the Palo Dado Trio and Latin balladeer Rosy Cervantes, activities for kids and arts exhibits by Alec Dempster and Al Doerkson. All happening in and around the Kultrún Market and Seven Shores Cafe. Much to celebrate, indeed!
