Neruda Arts’ Friend and Collaborator, Alfredo Caxaj, Honoured with Mayor’s Award

Neruda Arts salutes its friends at the Sunfest Committee in London Ontario as they celebrate two important triumphs in 2015! After 20 years presenting Southern Ontario’s largest, free world music festival, Founder and Director, Alfredo Caxaj, was honoured with this year’s Mayor’s Award for Diversity and Race Relations at a recent City Council meeting and dinner. Neruda Arts is working closer than ever with Sunfest as they develop programming for the 21-year anniversary of their festival. This collaboration is helping Neruda Arts present a fantastic line up of top world music artists at its second annual Kultrún Festival July 9-12 in Victoria Park. Like Sunfest, which now attracts over 200,000 people each year, Neruda Arts’ summons all its non-profit powers to present the Region’s only family friendly, free world music festival featuring local, national and international artists, all-ages interactive activities, storytelling, theatre, and food and craft market.
