VALÉRIE EKOUME (Cameroon/Paris) Born to a musical family, Valérie Ekoume is a French Cameroonian singer based in Paris. She grew up listening to various musical styles, and her AfroPop style was influenced by Congolese rumba, pop music artists and Cameroonian Music. Her second album, Kwin Na Kingué, was released in 2017 and has been celebrated by the public and press, and was one of RFI's top 10 African/World Music albums for 2017. With the help of Guy Nwogong, MONÈ MONÈ, her third project released in 2021, Valérie was able to dig deeper into her Cameroonian roots, resulting in the explosive sound of Assiko, and even Essèwè - so ready to dance!
